TrapezeFit

Jules Léotard, creator of the leotard, invented flying trapeze (where you swing through the air) in France in 1859. Still a teenager, Jules decided one day at his father’s gym in Toulouse to hang a bar over the swimming pool. He must have splashed into the pool many, many times that summer. But later that same year he performed his tricks – without a pool –  at the Cirque Napoléon. He was a great success and trapeze has been popular ever since.

Static trapeze developed from flying trapeze and is much more practical where space and height is limited.  Static Trapeze is a bar connected to the ceiling by two ropes. In this class you will learn poses and sequences on and below the bar as well as on the ropes. As you become more advanced, you will learn to flip around the bar and work on momentum-based skills and tricks.

Each class will involve a Warm Up, Conditioning, Static Trapeze poses, tricks, transitions and combos, building to a choreographed routine for each level to conquer over the period of your course.  You will learn sequences on and below the bar as well as on the ropes, finishing your session with a Cool Down and Stretches.  The instructor will demonstrate and keep moving around the room to spot students.  Static Trapeze does take a lot of upper body strength but complete beginners are welcome as you will learn step by step, building your strength up over time and developing your flexibility.

Testimonials

“Well what can I say. . . . Jane and Terry offer the most specialised and best value for money (considering all of their qualifications, equipment and class variety) fitness service anyone could ever want, need or hope for. They are two of the nicest people I have ever met and have gone above and beyond to incorporate me (with a cornucopia of health issues) any and everyone into as many classes as I choose. The atmosphere is amazing and everything is so fresh, I love it! They have transformed my life (no word of a lie) with not only the fitness but the KSFL clean living lifestyle detoxes too, I couldn’t ever thank them enough. I couldn’t feel more supported or safe. It is just epic!!”

“I have no idea how he did it, but contacting FYB the best decision I made today. They spent an hour thoroughly fixing my broken self - through a series of taps and flicks well beyond my comprehension! As a professional aerialist in competition training, when being fully functional is crucial and every moment counts, I can't express enough how deeply grateful I am to have experienced drastic immediate improvement and incredible results! ”
